Happy Monday! It's been a great week over here at Cabin Games, and we just wanted to share some updates and news with you all.
A3C in Atlanta was amazing. Our showcase with Cabin Games artists Silas Blak and Gyasi Ross, as well as Seattle favorites Chimurenga Renaissance went very well, we've got lots of love for that festival and the community that they bring together. Check out some great pictures from the festival on Sam Gehrke's Instagram.
Silas Blak's single "Cops on My Back" has reached the #1 spot on the Rapnetwork Record Breakers Chart, which compiles plays from 72 of the most influential independent hip hop DJs in the country. We're super excited about the response to the single, and can't wait to put out his full length record "Editorials (War Tunes)", which was produced by Kjell Nelson, on November 23rd.
Gyasi Ross was invited to be a speaker at the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March up in DC this weekend. He delivered a passionate speech about justice for indigenous people, and spoke against the Catholic Church and their Doctrine of Discovery. He also talked to Democracy Now as part of the event, check out a video he did with them here.
The Ghost Ease have been doing great out on their US tour for their new full length record, RAW, kicking it off last Wednesday in Seattle with a live KEXP session. They'll be doing two shows at CMJ this weekend in NYC, at Cake Shop on 10/14 and The Shop on 10/17! Check out their full list of tour dates here.
